- Chop the onion and sauté it in a casserole with two tablespoons of oil until transparent.
- Add a chopped garlic, cook for 1 minute more and add the ham mince and the sliced chorizo.
- Saute everything together for 2 minutes and add the drained lentils and the bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper, cover with water and cook for 50 minutes.
- Toast the slices of bread. Sauté the remaining chopped garlic in a frying pan with a tablespoon of oil. As soon as it starts to brown, remove from the heat and chop the fried garlic in a mortar and pestle with the toasted bread. Add it to the lentils, cook for a further 5 minutes and serve.
